Foundations and Workforce Readiness

This 40-hour online course introduces learners to the theory, ethics, and practice of community interpreting and translation in healthcare, social services, government, public services, and employment settings. Emphasis is placed on skill development in consecutive and simultaneous interpreting, the fundamentals of professional translation practice, ethics and professional standards, terminology acquisition, and workforce readiness. Participants develop practical competencies aligned with employer expectations and national professional guidelines.
